What is physiotherapy pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a tailored low-impact form of exercise that promotes strength, mobility, improved posture, stability, and better use of breath that is specific to your needs as a patient. We use pilates principles and our physiotherapy backgrounds to deliver you the best care that is tailored to the specific needs of each client based on their assessment findings.
Clinical pilates is beneficial for those recovering from an injury and for pain management. But it’s not just for those who have an injury…
It’s for anyone looking to build strength, endurance, mobility & postural alignment.
We also use clinical pilates to help prevent injury, to treat those who are prenatal and postnatal, and for anyone looking for a fun, yet safe and effective way to maintain fitness.
To begin with Clinical Pilates, you will be assessed by a Registered Physiotherapist, and utilizing the mat, large equipment (reformer, tower), and small equipment (arc, foam roller, stability ball etc.) a program will be built that is specific to you.
This is a great option if you are looking for one-on-one personalized care with a plan that is specific to you and your needs.
